Great yoga and horse riding retreat in Ibiza

I had a great time with Ibiza retreats on their yoga and horse riding retreat

We had amazing yoga teachers including Marrejan, Nora and Carina and lovely energy-healers like Faye. Also fantastic chefs in Wendy and Dominic who both cooked me delicious and mostly raw vegan food. Then our lovely hosts, in particular Lizzy and Dominic who welcomed us into their beautiful villa Can Amonita.

The retreat was the perfect balance of morning yoga every day, followed by smoothies and then brunch. Then relaxation time by and in the pool and then late afternoon yoga or horse riding. I often had a quick swim in the pool each morning before yoga as it so nice waking up doing a few lengths as the sun rose up through the trees.

One morning we went to the beach for our yoga session which was great. We pretty much has the little beach all to ourselves and the water was so clear, it was fantastic going for a swim afterwards.

I also really enjoyed the horse riding. They took us out on an adventure round the hills and I was privileged to be allowed to ride their fairly new six year old Tango, who was lovely.

At the end of the five days there were some sad goodbyes, but we all had a lovely evening together at the beach and the dinner at a local restaurant.

At least I didn’t have to leave the sunshine too soon, as I stayed for a few days in Hotel Simbad in Talamanca. The beach was right on my doorstep and I had a fantastic view from my balcony to wake up to each morning.

It also gave me time to explore more of island by going for a run round the shoreline, go into Ibiza old town and walk up the many steps up to get a birds eye view. Also found some more delicious raw vegan food.

I then took a boat trip over to Formentera, hired a bicycle and went on an adventure around the island popping into several of the beautiful beaches. In particular Plajta de ses Illetes with it’s lovely white sand and crystal clear waters that was glorious swimming in.

If you’re looking for a yoga retreat, I highly recommend this one. You might have put up with a slightly rowdy flight over to the island, but once you get to the beautifully peaceful part you can really relax.
